Medina is celebrated for containing the mosque of Muhammad, and so ranks as the second holiest city of Islam, after Mecca. It was also the place where Muhammad and his followers left after attacks against them in Mecca, now known as the Hijrah.

About Medina

Medina covers an area of 340.7 sq. miles (883 square Km) and is estimated to have a population of 1.3 million people being a city in the Hejaz region of western Saudi Arabia. It is the second holiest city in Islam, and the burial place of Muhammad.

Hilton Madinah

The Madinah Hilton is a short walk from the Holy Prophet’s Mosque, in the heart of the shopping district, and approximately 10 miles from Madinah International Airport. A shopping market is located next to the hotel. Madinah Hilton is west of the Haram (Prophet Mohamed Mosque). It has two entrances, the Haram entrance (north) and the main entrance (south).

Hotel amenities include Marmara Restaurant’s international specialties and Madinah Restaurant’s eastern cuisine and views of the Holy Mosque. Room service is available 24 hours a day except for during Iftar and Sohour (Ramadan period). The hotel also offers concierge assistance, valet laundry service, a convenience store, a business center, and three levels of parking.

All rooms feature separate working and seating areas, sofas, desks, Internet access, slippers, mineral water, chocolates and fruit, and marble bathrooms.
